Christmas Table Settings

So as Christmas is fast approaching (5 days...what!?) your attention may be turning to the day's festivities and food, then your mind may wander into panic territory as you realise not only have you to prepare and cook a meal for your hungry guests, but you have to sit them somewhere and guess what? Regular table mats and cutlery just won't cut it.

We thought we would calm some of your pre-Christmas lunch nerves with not only our favourite table setting ideas but also a few tips to keep you on your toes.

It's vital to remember that a table setting works and looks it's best if it has had prior planning and yes whilst it may be tempting to leave it until Christmas day hoping that a flood of creativity is going to take over and set the table for you, unfortunately the reality is rather stressful and chaotic. So our top tip is to prepare, plan and prepare. With that said don't let the technicalities ruin the creative process of setting a Christmas dinner table, after all it's suppose to be a fun and joyous occasion which should reflect in your decoration. Another rule we like to follow and should be established from the beginning is if your table is going to be modern, traditional or a little of both. Once you've established your style you can them move onto your theme and colour palette with finishing touches being the final details.

Good Luck!

We hope you all have a wonderful weekend! The LJC team will be wrapping final Christmas orders today for deliveries and then we'll be taking a well deserved break!
