Friday Follow

1. Tartlette
Are you a fan of food, exquisite photography and great content? Then the blog Tartlette is definitely a place you could easily get happily lost for hours.  After leaving her pastry chef position at a French restaurant Helene Dujardin decided that she wanted to evolve and combine her love for not only food but photography and in 2006 Tartlette was born.  What we love about this blog is that it focus on gluten free recipes due to Helene suffering from Meniere's disease. With recipes that range from gluten free apple cinnamon doughnuts,   pecan brown butter cakes to blackberry cobbler she proves that gluten free food has to be anything from boring and tasteless.
2. Cake Journal
Ever wanted to know how to make a ribbon bow, marshmallow fondant or even a sugar rose? Then you seriously need to head on over to Cake Journal  a cosy little corner of the interest created not only to educate you with great tutorials but inspire you with mouth watering cake, cookie and cupcake recipes. Self taught creator Louise has been cake decorating since 2002 and eventhough she is ridiculously talented, each and every tutorial she features are well explained and easily described with the aid of some beautiful photography.
3. Joy The Baker
Whenever we feel the need to be creatively inspired we always head over to Joy's blog aptly named Joy the baker.  Not only do her blog post's always have a comedic undertone but she creates real food that jumps off the computer screen and begs to be eaten. It seems that not only we at HQ seem to have fallen for Joy and her amazing creations as her very first book was released earlier this year and her food career doesn't seem to be slowing down with her weekly podcast "Homefries" reaching more and more listeners on a regular basis.

We've got a busy weekend ahead at HQ. Firstly we'll be baking something delightful for a couple of our lovely customers and secondly we'll be putting some final plans into our very own Etsy store, which we're happy to announce will be open for business at the end of the month. The store will be a place specialised with our traditional Scottish tablet that has a modern twist. More details coming very soon!

Enjoy your Friday everyone and make sure you take some time to check out these awesome blogs!!
